Cathleen Cummings, Principal of the International School at Rogers Magnet, came to Rogers in July of 2000. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island, she began her career as a teacher in Newport, RI and later Stamford. She holds a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Sacred Heart University with a concentration in Gifted and Talented as well as Sixth Year degree in Administration and Supervision from Fairfield University.

In February 2004, Rogers became authorized as a World School by the IBO. As part of the authorization process, Ms. Cummings received extensive training in the Primary Years Program from the IBNA. This included workshops in inquiry, assessment, literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies. In August 2007, she will be trained as a PYP workshop leader.
